A hunting program is like a decoy or animal call without authenticity and attention to detail neither will attract much attention. Based on the ratings for the first season of GORE-TEX Outdoor Adventures, the program has both. In just its first year, GORE-TEX Outdoor Adventures was tied for the second highest rated field sports show in prime time. In fact, the program rated 11 percent above the average for all prime time field sports shows. The 2006 season looks to build on the success of the first with a new collection of breathtaking locations, exotic and elusive animals and some of the most well known hunters in the world leading the way. Programs will take viewers to the North West Territory of Canada in search of black bears and wood bison, to Ghost Ranch, Texas, for whitetail and on 11 other challenging hunts.
